Yves Lambert TRIO Plays "Dans le bayou St-Laurent"

The Folklife Center at Crandall Public Library

Most of you are probably already dying for the return of live music to our lives; the rest of you undoubtedly will be after watching this previously-unseen video from Yves Lambert TRIO's March 2019 performance at the Folklife Center at Crandall Public Library. Mr. Lambert is a force of nature, and a legend in Quebec's roots music scene. Few performers can match his musical virtuosity or the energy and charisma of his performances. Enjoy, and keep your fingers crossed for more shows like this one sooner rather than later!

More about the band and our concert series:

As a founding member of the legendary band, La Bottine Souriante, Yves Lambert (accordion, vocals) is a patriarch of the revival of Quebec’s musical roots and a beacon of Quebec’s cultural heritage. His charisma and talent, coupled with Nicolas Babineau (violin, mandolin, vocals) and Olivier Rondeau’s (guitars, vocals) virtuosity and passion, the nuances of their arrangements and their distinct harmony make this trio a one-of-a-kind musical experience. The group demonstrates how traditional local music continually reinvents itself within a modern context.
